Charlotte Allyson Haynes Heath

Charlotte Allyson Haynes Heath, age 63, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away at home on July 7, 2026. 

She was born on January 12, 1963, in Sacramento, California, to Mary Alice Templeton Haynes and James Hugh Haynes.

Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Brittany and Rheanna Heath; her mother, Mary Alice Templeton Haynes; her siblings, Jim (Valentine) Haynes, Phillip (Steve) Haynes, and Jennifer (Donnie) Chinander; her nieces and nephews, Thoma and Jordan Haynes, and Jacob, Amber, Kathryn, and Luke Chinander; and her beloved rescue dog, Karma. 

She was preceded in death by her father, James Hugh Haynes, MD.

Charlotte had a wonderful sense of humor and a creative spirit. She loved to cook and bake and had a lifelong love of animals, especially enjoying outings with Karma. She found happiness in many creative pursuits and simple pleasures, including reading, writing, puns, Sudoku, gardening, pottery, quilting, fabric crafts, and watercolor painting.

Charlotte received a degree in computer accounting from Nashville State Community College and also attended Middle Tennessee State University. She worked for Smyrna Coin, now located in Murfreesboro, and HD Property Management.

Charlotte will be remembered for her humor, creativity, love of animals, and the many interests that brought color and enjoyment to her life. She will be deeply missed by her family and by those who knew and loved her.

A memorial service celebrating Charlotte’s life will be held at Brookmeade Congregational Church UCC, 700 Bresslyn Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37205, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Following the service, Charlotte’s family invites friends and loved ones to remain at the church for a memorial reception and time of fellowship. Light refreshments will be served.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a local animal shelter in Charlotte’s memory.
