Brendan John Nixon, age 37, a resident of Leoma, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at his residence. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Brendan was born on August 9, 1987, in Phoenix, Arizona, but grew up in Lawrenceburg.
He enjoyed cooking, hiking, fishing, and doing anything that involved spending time with his children and loved ones. A true family man, he tried to instill the importance of family and all the love that came along with it.
He loved the marina life and worked as a leadman for Marquette Transportation and most recently as a carpenter for Evers Construction.
Brendan is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Paulette Nixon Hernandez; father, Estorgio Edward Hernandez; and sister, Misty Kimbrough.
Brendan is survived by his wife, Amanda Nixon, and together they share one child, Brendan “Leland” Nixon; his other five children, Trenton Nixon, Brayden Nixon, Garzie Clay, Zailyn Nixon, Kenzaleigh Nixon, and one stepdaughter, who he loved like his own, Adaline Yocom; five sisters, Holly Willis, Jenna (Uriel) Melo, Antonia Manzo, Felipa Hernandez, and Melissa Amaro; and two brothers, Davide Nixon and Dean (Amber) Hernandez.
