Brenda Kaye Ragsdale, age 67, a resident of Lewisburg, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Born on October 5, 1958, in Williamson County, Tennessee, Brenda was the daughter of the late Billy James Ragsdale and the late Katherine Gladys Mosley Ragsdale. She worked as a caregiver at Belvedere Senior Living of 17 years, where her caring nature was a reflection of the love she carried throughout her life.

Brenda enjoyed crocheting and especially cherished the time spent stitching alongside her daughter. She also loved traveling and made special memories with her daughter on trips to Florida and Memphis. A lung cancer survivor, Brenda faced life with strength and determination. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren. She had a heart big enough to love not only her own grandchildren but also those she welcomed into her life and adopted into her heart. Brenda also enjoyed cuddling with her fur baby “Thumper”. As well as visiting with special Neighbors, Debbie, June, Laural, Aquila, and Jessie. Brenda’s love, laughter, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Brenda’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

She is survived by her daughters, Casey Holt (Gabe Spears), “Scooterbug”, and Stephanie Holt, “Baby Girl”; brother, Billy Wayne Ragsdale, “Brother”, Nephew, Ricky Allen Hoover, “Lil Brother”; grandchildren, Eugene Carter Music, “My Big Boy”, Aniya Rena Bullock, “AA” Chevy James Moore, “Monkey Man”, Jax Lee Music, “Monster”, and Taylin Katherine Marie Holt Burrows, “Teddy Bear”, Hensley Brumit, “Lil’Bit”; Father of her daughters, Gene Holt; Special friends, Jeanie Shufelt, Angela Murphy, and Cathy Brown.

Along with her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, James Allen Ragsdale, “Buck Wheat”; and sisters, Mildred Faye Hoover, “Party” and Mary Katherine Smythia, “Mazel”.

Water burial will take place on Shell Island, Florida, with Brenda’s daughters and grandchildren.

Celebration of life with family and friends will be announced at a later date.
