Bradley "Cornbread" Allen Carpenter

Bradley “Cornbread” Carpenter, age 49, a resident of Columbia, passed away on July 27, 2025, at his residence.

Born on February 10, 1976, in Maury County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Charles Edward Carpenter and Joyce Staggs Van Hyning. Bradley was a member of Destiny Church and was proud to have been baptized on September 24, 2023.

Known for his outgoing personality, Bradley loved being around people. He had a gift for making others laugh and was always eager to help those around him succeed in life. Bradley loved scavenger hunting and collecting stuff and then giving it away to people in need.

He is survived by his loving mother, Joyce Van Hyning; sons, Jesse Carpenter, Bradley Carpenter, Jr.; daughters, Rebecca Mae Meigs, Elizabeth Carpenter (bug), Charleigh Carpenter; sister, Crystal (Floyd) Cates; four nieces and one nephew. Bradley was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Blake Carpenter.
