Beth Carolyn Grant

Beth Carolyn Grant, age 87, a resident of Columbia, passed away March 23, 2026 at her Home with her daughters by her side.

Beth was born in Mountain View, MO and was the daughter of the late Virgil Howell and the late Ruth Fullerton Howell. She enjoyed living in California and was known as being California cool by her daughters, going to the beach, learning new languages and different cultures, an avid reader, adventurous, free spirited, enjoyed art, singing, and loved her time in Australia, where she lived for twenty years. Beth had a tremendous work ethic and taught her daughters the value of hard work. Being in nature brought her joy and peace. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother who will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Vaughn, Darcy (Michael) Irelan, brother, Clyde (Kitty) Howell, grandchildren, Lauren (John Wooldridge) Buonadonna, Ashley (Rob Schwiers) Buonadonna, Mallory (Dustin Littrell) Buonadonna, Robert (Miranda Wang-Irelan), Sara (Jarred) Silvia, Nickolas Irelan, ten great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
