Barry Wayne Humphreys

Mr. Barry Wayne Humphreys, age 68, a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg.

A Celebration of Life will be held at New Hope Baptist Church on Saturday, January 10 at 1 PM.

Barry was born on March 24, 1957 in Xenia, Ohio and was the son of the late Rev. Delano Humphreys and the late Carol Yates Humphreys. He grew up in Dayton, Ohio with his loving family. He had a strong faith and loved the Lord, his family, and his dogs. A skilled man in building led him to a career in engineering, which brought him joy. A gifted musician and singer, he enjoyed fishing, embodied a hard work ethic, intelligent, stoic, persistent, and reliable. He loved his dogs, six weimeraners and he always carried an extra dog treat in his pocket in case he seen another dog. A loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend he will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him. Barry was the best husband and father anyone could ask for, until we meet again daddy, love your sweetie.

He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Reynolds (Chad), brothers, Terry, Dennis, Mike, Marvin, Tim, his sister, Beverly Evans, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and numerous valued friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Miranda Humphreys.
