Barbara “Jan” Reason, age 90, of Columbia, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on January 20, 2023, surrounded by family.
Janell, as she was known, was born in Kirbyton, Kentucky on May 27, 1932, to Thomas and Ellena Piper… The family soon made their way to Michigan.

Jan loved to travel, and her and Jim made many trips together, and she thoroughly enjoyed life. She loved her children and loved and enjoyed every time a new grandchild and great-grandchild was added to the family.
She was a beloved mother to her children, Patti (Bob) Powers, Mark (Lisa) Long and Diane Roe, a precious Grandma to Laura (Jesse) Sheldon, Adam (Ashley) Powers, Kevin (Mandy) Roe, Kellie (Justin) Cole, Haley (Ryan) Fetchko and Alex (Megan) Long, and a loving Great-Grandmother “GiGi” to Collin Sheldon, Melina Sheldon, Andrew Roe, Caroline Roe, Robert Cole, Jackson Powers, Riley Fetchko and Rowan Cole.
