Anne K. Schilling

Anne K. “Grannie Annie” Schilling, age 80, passed away peacefully at 6:10 p.m. on Sunday 1/11/2026 while under care at NHC of Columbia, Tennessee. Born December 23, 1945, Anne began her journey home surrounded by love.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Anne was a resident of Columbia, Tennessee for the past 15+ years. She was deeply loved and will be forever cherished by her son, Jonathan O. Schilling (51); daughter-in-law, Kendra Z. Schilling (53); and her two beautiful granddaughters, Kennedy (19) and Sydney Schilling (17), of Scott Depot, West Virginia.

She is reunited in heaven with her beloved daughter, Kristen J. Schilling, who passed at the age of 39 on December 25, 2025, and her former husband and the father of Kristen and Jonathan, Norman A. Schilling, Jr., who passed at the age of 61 on August 20, 2003.

The family extends their most sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the staff at NHC of Columbia, TN, for the compassionate and dignified care Anne received.

Anne earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and served as a Registered Nurse in several hospitals throughout the Cleveland area. Later in life, she followed another passion, becoming a head chef and restaurant owner, before retiring from Schilling Properties, where she managed multiple single-family homes in Cleveland.

Her faith, caring heart, cooking, sewing, wildflowers, songbirds, and—above all—her granddaughters were her greatest joys. Though miles and years separated many loved ones, Anne’s love knew no boundaries. She faithfully nurtured friendships through handwritten letters and cards, which she thoughtfully preserved through time—gifts that will be treasured always.

In accordance with Anne’s wishes, the family requests fond memories, laughter, and cheer in lieu of a viewing or formal services.

It is Anne’s time to be home.
