Andrea Rios Cumpston

Andrea Rios Cumpston, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 9, 2025, in Columbia, Tennessee. Born on June 3, 1962, in Texas City, Texas, Andrea lived a life full of adventure, love, and unwavering faith.

A devout Christian, she embraced her spirituality with a passion that inspired everyone around her. Andrea's love for music brought joy to countless gatherings, filling hearts and homes with harmonious sounds. Known for her adventurous spirit, she traveled widely, always seeking the next opportunity to explore and experience new cultures. Her outgoing nature and her ability to connect with people ensured that she never met a stranger; rather, she turned acquaintances into friends within moments.

Above all else, Andrea's greatest love belonged to her family. She cherished her son, Joseph (Jaden) Cumpston, who was the light of her life. Andrea was devoted to her loved ones, and she created a warm and welcoming environment for everyone she met. Her brothers—Apolonio (Sara) Rios Jr., Valentin Rios, Jaime Rios, and Mario (Mischelle) Rios—all of Dickinson, Texas, will carry her spirit forward, holding dear the memories of the laughter and love they shared.

Andrea is preceded in death by her parents, Apolonio and Janice Rios, her son, Jeremiah Cumpston, and her sister, Lisa Elizabeth Rios. Each of them played a significant role in her life, and their memory continues to bring comfort to those she left behind.

Andrea’s life will be celebrated with a visitation on July 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, located at 609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, TN 38401, Pastor Brian Adkisson to officiate.
