Amber Camille Higgs, age 15, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Columbia, Tennessee.

Born on May 26, 2010, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, she was an energetic child who loved playing outside, swimming, riding her bike, and making people laugh.

She was a student at Battle Creek High School and had a passion for family, nature, fishing, food, muscle cars, gaming, dirt bikes, traveling, skateboarding, the beach, the warm sun, music, and hanging out with friends. She played on her high school softball team, ran track, and spent many hours playing her guitar. She had plans for a career in Mechanical Engineering and was looking forward to attending a trade school after she graduated.

She is survived by her father and step-mother, Matthew & Angela Higgs (Columbia, TN); her mother, Amanda Sullivan (Sumrall, MS); sisters Reese Higgs (Columbia, TN), Jada Horne (Sumrall, MS), and Nadia Horne (Hattiesburg, MS); step-sister Ciara Gutierrez (Tampa, FL); grandparents Anita Higgs (Kanosh, UT), and Robert Wayne & Margaret Sullivan (Sumrall, MS). She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.
