Alexis Giovanni Lazaro Baez

Alexis Giovanni Lazaro Baez, age 30, a resident of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Philip Catholic Church with Fr. David officiating. Burial will follow at Maury Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, and again on Saturday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at St. Philip Catholic Church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on December 16, 1995, in Mexico City, Mexico, Alexis was the son of Juan Emmanuel Lazaro Ruiz and Belen Engracia Baez Garcia. He graduated from Centennial High School in 2014.

Alexis had an outgoing personality and was truly the life of the party wherever he went. With a kind heart and a gentle spirit, he was a big teddy bear who always made sure those around him were doing well before thinking of himself. He loved to dance, treasured spending time with family and friends, and took great pride in being a devoted father. Alexis was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives he touched.

In addition to his parents, Juan Emmanuel Lazaro Ruiz and Belen Engracia Baez Garcia, he is survived by his daughter, Krystal Anabeth Lazaro; his sister, Karen Baez; his brother, Erik Abraham Lazaro Baez; and his love, Melissa Dukes.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Francisco Baez and Teresa Garcia.
