John Michael Payne

November 7, 1961 - April 10, 2012

Mr. John Michael Payne, age 50 of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday afternoon at his residence, surrounded by his family and friends.

The family will conduct private services, and is being assisted by Heritage Funeral Home of Columbia.

John was born in Roanoke, Virginia on November 7, 1961. He was the son of the late John William Payne and Betty Louise Toombs Cumberland.

A devoted father and wonderful brother, John will missed by his family. Mourning his death, and celebrating his life, he leaves behind a daughter: Mia Payne of Lascassas, TN; two sons: Michael Greenwood of LaVergne, TN and Jason Greenwood of Sparta, TN; a brother: Edward "Eddie" Parker of Pensacola, FL; three sisters: Patricia Martin of Clarksville, TN, Diane White of Clarksville, TN, and Teresa Plair of Smyrna, TN; and 5 grandchildren.
