Linda L. Powers

Mrs. Linda L. Powers, 71, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at her residence on Culleoka Hwy., in the Culleoka community. The family will have a private memorial service at their home at a later date. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 17, 1938, Mrs. Powers was the daughter of the late Bill Hathaway and Vera Whitaker Hathaway. A devoted wife for 51 years, Mrs. Powers is survived by her husband, Ronald K. Powers, Sr. In addition to being a homemaker, she enjoyed reading, playing games on the Internet, working crossword puzzles, and playing pinochle. Mrs. Powers was a member of the Catholic Church. Mrs. Powers is survived by two sons, Ronald Powers, Jr. of Pulaski and Michael Powers of Columbia; a daughter, Debi Lynn (Doug) Snethen of Lewisburg; three granddaughters Amy Jo (Abigail) Powers of Kansas City, MO; Savannah Powers of Mt. Pleasant; Stephanie Wescott of GA; and a grandson, Alex Powers of Mt. Pleasant; a great granddaughter Evelynn Analyse Hargrove of GA; and a step-mother, Mary Lou Hathaway of Holden, MI.
