Robert Sherman Renfro, Jr. Robert Sherman Renfro Jr., age 47, a resident of Columbian Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010, at NHC Nursing Home in Columbia, following a courageous battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 1 pm at the St. James PB Church located at 305 E. Cooper Street in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services, llc is assisting the family and is in charge of the arrangements. A native of Maury County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Renfro and the late Queenie M. Dudley Renfro. He was disabled but had served as a Social Worker in previous years. Robert was a very private man who loved reading and education. He held a Bachelor of Sociology Degree from MTSU. He had also attended Columbia State in Columbia, Tennessee, and was working on his doctorate. He leaves to mourn his death two sisters: Nicole (Elder Marcus) Sharp, Sr. of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Mary Ann (Joseph) Fennessee of Columbia, TN; one uncle Clifford (Brenda) Dudley, Jr. of Nashville, TN; three aunts: Marcia (Johnny) Armstrong of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Karen Bullock of Columbia, TN, and Sharon Humphrey of Columbia, TN; three devoted cousins: Geraldine Pulse of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Wilnita Hardiman of Mt. Pleasant, TN, and Henrietta (Elder Robert) Ross of Nashville, TN, who he looked up to as Aunts; and a host of cousins and friends. The family would like to note some honorable mentions in his life: Dr. Porter, Dr. Kanth, NHC Nursing Home and the staff, and Caris Healthcare.
