Gertrude Elizabeth Mackey

Gertrude Elizabeth Mackey, age 79, a resident of Franklin, passed away on March 6, 2014 at her residence. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 10, 2014 at Franklin First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM; Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Gertrude was born on September 8, 1934 to the late Bill and Mattie Chavis in Bennettsville, SC She was a member of Franklin First Methodist Church. She loved spending time at the beach and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Gertrude is survived by her husband: Kelvin Mackey; sons: John (Shelley) Mackey of Auburn, CA; Clay (Jeannie) Mackey of Franklin; grandchildren: Jordan and Dylan; sister: Karrie Frances (Jack) Driggers.
