James Edward Rodgers, Jr.

Mr. James Edward Rodgers, age 55, a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at Southern Tennessee Hospital in Lawrenceburg. The family will celebrate his life with private services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born in Lakeland, Florida on November 11, 1958, James was the son of the late James Edward Rodgers, Sr. and the late Patsy Dail Bell. He previously worked as a chef for Sonny's Bar-b-que. He loved to cook, and James loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife: Nancy Rodgers of Lawrenceburg; son: James Anthony (Nicole) Rodgers of Lakeland, FL; daughter: April Dawn Rodgers of Lawrenceburg; step-daughters: Amanda Feltner of Hanover, IN and Melissa (Ian) Waller of Hanover, IN; sister: Diane Smith of Oak Ridge; and ten grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Pamela Watts.
