Dorothy McCree Smith, 89, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. Services will be Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg followed by burial in New Augusta Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Moore Hattiesburg Chapel, from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Heritage Funeral Home assisted the family with local arrangements. Mrs. Smith was a loving mother who enjoyed being in church with friends and family. She is survived by two sons: Vernon C. McCree and Gregory N. McCree and wife, Barbara; her daughter: Glenda McCree Welch Harsen and husband, Richard: five grandchildren, five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and friend, Vernon N. McCree; her sister, Margarette Quiggle; and an infant grandson, Jeffrey Welch.
