Eric Shumate

Mr. Eric Shumate, age 63, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at his residence. The family will celebrate his life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on August 19, 1952 in Beckley, West Virginia, Eric was the son of the late John S. Shumate and the late Evelyn Legursky Shumate. He was of the Catholic faith and worked as a carpenter. He is survived by his brothers: Randy Shumate; sister: Rachella Heffner; and niece: Hannah Shumate.
