Joseph L. Green III

August 16, 1944 - December 2, 2017

Mr. Joseph L. Green, III, age 73, a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Signature Healthcare.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM on Wednesday, December 20 at the Cross Bridges Baptist Church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with the services.

Born August 16, 1944 in Remerton, GA, he was the son of the late Joseph L. Green and Bernice Brantley Wiggins. Joseph worked in the warehouse for Holiday Market and was of the Baptist faith. He liked to fish and watch baseball, but more importantly, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons: Michael (Cheryl) Green of Columbia and Randy (Amanda) Green of Valdosta, GA; daughters: Ginger (Steve) Goss of Jonesboro, GA and Betsy Green of Valdosta, GA; sister: Sarah (Maurice) Pacetti of GA; half brothers: Tommy (Donna) Green and Kenneth (Pam) Green of GA; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
