Era Mai Hutcherson

February 1, 1932 - January 18, 2018

Era Mai Hutcherson, age 85, a resident of Dog Creek Road in Primm Springs, passed away Thursday evening, January 18, 2018 just nine days after the passing of her daughter.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Howard Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Potts Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Sunday from 12-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

A native of Maury County, Mai was born on February 1, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Elmer Hutcherson and the late Lula Mai Alexander Hutcherson. She was a member of Elmore Church of the Nazarene. Mai previously worked as a seamstress for Weather Tamer and Dixie Manufacturing. She loved to work and enjoyed sewing and watching Jimmy Swaggert on television.

She is survived by her grandson: Jeramey (Ashley) Hedrick of Chapel Hill; great grandson: Jase Hedrick of Chapel Hill; dear friend: Mike Goins of Culleoka; and sister-in-law: Jean Hutcherson of Centerville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Darnell Hutcherson; son: Jerry Hedrick; daughter: Melissa Hedrick; and brother: Mahlon Hutcherson.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Goins, Jim Dotson, Brandon Jones, Josh Love, Caleb Beard, and Chris Clark. Dennis Alexander and Sandra McCord will serve as honorary pallbearers.
