Stella Kay McCray "Joan Smith"

Ms. Stella Kay McCray, also known as Joan Smith, age 62, a resident of Columbia, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 01, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

The family will celebrate her life in Lansing, Michigan at a later date.

Stella, also well known as “Star” was born in Lansing, Michigan and was the daughter of the late William C. McCray, Jr. and the late Lois McCray of Lansing, Michigan. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother and was loved throughout the community. She will be remembered by her laugh, smile, energy, and effervescent personality.

She is survived by her children: Darryl (Jonni) McCray of Chandler, AZ, Rashonda Sorrells of Murfreesboro, TN, Jamari McCray, Enone McCray, and Latisha McCray, all of Lansing, MI; brothers: William Calvin McCray, III, Curlee B. Foster, Anthony Curry, Don McCray, and Brian McCray; sisters: Verna Weakly, Geraldine Rush, Delois Curry, Judy McCray, Patricia Terry, Hazel McCray, and Lisa McCray; and twelve grandchildren.
