Nova Sue Norris, age 84, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at her residence.

Nova was born on February 20, 1934 in Franklin County, Alabama. She is survived by her daughters: Pam Matney of Columbia, Karen (Gary) Bridges of Columbia, Donna (John) Stone of Waterford, MI; sister: Shelly Pierce of Alabama; grandchildren: Julie (Joe) Jones, Susie (Jake) Farler, Kellie Bridges, Ben (Cassandra) Gates, Elizabeth Gates, Beau Bridges, Jeremy (Kate) Stone, Katie Stone; great grandchildren: Jacey Farler, Jackson Farler, Isaac Jones, Emily Jones, Maddox Bridges, Izzy Gates, Raelynn Gates, Kalynn Franklin, James Stone, Reed Stone, Cleo Stone; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Guy Byars and Manie Lou Steele Byars; husband Cloetus Norris; daughter: Kathy Gates; and great grandchild: Gracie Gates.
