Ralph William “Mr. Billy” McCord, age 47 of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016, at his residence in Columbia.
His is family has planned a private celebration of his life at a later date. Simply Unique Cremation & Funeral Service of Spring Hill is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Born January 15, 1969 to the late Robert Phelps and Elizabeth Gail Kelly McCord, Mr. McCord was a former custodian for Winstead Elementary in Franklin, Tennessee. He not only was a custodian at the school, he loved the children and interacted with them in the lunchroom on a daily basis. They all referred to him as “Mr. Billy”. He loved to draw, was a superheroes collector and was a drummer for several area bands. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife; Robin Lynn McDonald McCord, one daughter; Ashley (Robert) of Columbia, three sons; Christopher (Amy) of Tullahoma, Terry (Laura) and Michael (Erin) both of Columbia, two sisters; Elizabeth (Joe) of Michigan and April (Daniel) and two brothers; Mike (Shonda) and Cleve (Helen) all of Columbia, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
