Christine Margaret Overton, age 85, and a resident of Columbia, TN passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at her residence.
The family will celebrate her life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Born in Decatur, TN on September 24, 1924, Christine was the daughter of Lula Alton Overton. She owned her own bar and restaurant in California for over 40 years.
She is survived by two daughters: Annette Vatland Williams (Stephen) of Columbia, Patty Sanchez Overton (Alex) of California; brother: Billy McCorkle of Memphis; three grandchildren: Melissa (Tony) Moran, Sam (Vanessa) Overton, Nick Rodriguez all of California; and three great-grandchildren: Aiden Moran, Brandon Moran, and Ashley Moran all of California.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Overton.
