Hugo Roberto Soles

June 1, 1924 - June 30, 2012

Mr. Hugo Roberto Soles, age 88 of Chapel Hill, passed away Saturday evening at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia. Mr. Soles was the husband of Georgina Gomez Soles. Together they celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in March of this year.

The family gathered together for prayer services on Thursday, July 5 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel Mausoleum at Maury Memorial Gardens, on the grounds of Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Born June 1, 1924 in Fomento Las Villas, Cuba, Hugo was the son of the late Rafael Soles and Josefa Bombino Soles. His career was as a boat builder.

In addition to his wife, Georgina, he is survived by a daughter: Mayra Soles of Lexington, KY; two grand-daughters: Jennifer (Jorge) Garcia and Carolyn (Matthew) Shively; and six great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Robert and John Garcia, and Ayla, Bianca, and Elysia Shively.

At a later date, Mr. Soles will be laid to rest in Miami, FL.
