Linda L. Smith

November 5, 1943 - March 15, 2012

Linda Smith, age 68 and a resident of Morris Avenue in Columbia, TN passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A private service will be held by the family at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.

A native of Asheboro, North Carolina, Linda was the daughter of the late Jim Tatum and the late Oppie Jordan Tatum. She loved her family and all animals (especially cats.) Admiring the law enforcement, she retired from the Sheriff’s Department in North Carolina. She truly enjoyed helping people. All that knew Linda will greatly miss her.

She left behind to treasure her memory one son Louis Ludlum of Columbia, TN, and one brother Jim (Wanda) Tatum of Asheboro, NC.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her sister Sue Tatum Peele.
