Mr. Mark Thornton, age 59, a resident of Pulaski, Tennessee passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Meadowbrook in Pulaski.
A private Celebration of Life for Mr. Thornton will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Niles, Michigan, he graduated from Niles Senior High School. He served our country in the United States Marine Corp. He worked as a Aluminum Extruder in Elkhart, Indiana and later moved to Tennessee. Mr. Thornton had many interests in life: he enjoyed bowling, football and even played football until a knee injury hindered his mobility. He was a man who truly enjoyed the outdoors and nature. Among his outdoor pleasures were fishing and swimming.
He left behind to cherish his memory one daughter, Jenifer Thornton of Indiana and a sister Phyllis Ernsperger from Niles, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Thornton and Betty Petersen, a brother Mike Thornton, and a sister Christine Thornton.
