Richard Burnette Michael Cohea

February 21, 1949 - March 30, 2011

Mr. Richard Burnette Michael Cohea, age 62, husband of the recently departed Barbara Cohea, and a resident of Rainey Street in Columbia, TN passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center.


The family will hold a memorial service in his honor on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Hunter Room at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and assisting the family in this difficult time.

A native of Oakvale, Mississippi, he was the son of James Cohea and Carrie Bourne Cohea. A man of many talents and positions, his most current work was a cook at the Bonanza Restaurant in Columbia. He loved to read science fiction and he was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his father and mother; James & Carrie Cohea of Cleveland, OH; one son, Michael Cohea of Columbia; one daughter, O’Lisa Cohea of Columbia; two brothers; Victor Cohea of New Orleans, and Jerry Cohea of Denver, CO; one sister, Jeannette Mays of Cleveland, OH and five grandchildren.
