Carol Elaine McGee

Ms. Carol Elaine McGee, age 64, daughter of the late Felix Fitzgerald and the late Rebecca Skinner Fitzgerald, and a resident of Rally Hill Road in Columbia, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Memorial Services will be held for Elaine on Thursday, July 5 at 4 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Mike Washington officiating. The family will also visit with friends on Thursday from 2 until the service hour. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Maury County, TN, Elaine was a housewife and a former part-time waitress. She raised her two children and two grandchildren. She attended New Lasea Baptist Church and had lots of friends. Her daughter described her as one of the best people who was very kind and good hearted. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Paul Pratt of Columbia, TN; daughter, Gina Pratt of Columbia, TN; brother, Roger Fitzgerald of Columbia, TN; two sisters: Ann Stanfill and Jean Ethridge both of Columbia, TN; aunt, Carlene Smithson of Franklin, TN; two grandchildren: Shane Pratt and Austin Pratt of Columbia, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Calvin Fitzgerald and two sisters: Reba Parker, and Estelle Wyatt.
