Mr. Kai BrØgger Frederiksen, age 72, husband of Connie Riffe, and a resident of Napier Road in Hohenwald, TN passed away at Crockett Hospital on Sunday, March 18, 2012.
All family services will be private. The family is being assisted by Heritage Funeral Home-Columbia.
Mr. Frederiksen was a native of Århus, Denmark. He had 20 years of training in the Danish Home Guard and was a retired shipping broker with KFK Shipping of Denmark. While on a business trip to the United States to locate a coal supplier for his company, he met Connie. Following his marriage to her, and his retirement, they relocated to Florida 27 years ago. In 2005, Kai and Connie moved to Hohenwald to be closer to the natural beauty of Middle Tennessee, and a short distance from the Smokey Mountains that he loved so much.
Along with his wife, Kai leaves behind to treasure his memory his daughters: Hanne Long of Hojbjerg, Denmark and Else Bloom of Århus, Denmark; a sister: Enge Poulsen of Frederiksborg, Denmark; and 7 grandchildren.
